Well sir,
We all have our gifts and yours may not be marketing or sales but on the other hand you may have the gift of straight shooter and performance.
Unfortunately in the west, particularly America, people love slick bullshit and demand it the higher up the social ladder you go.
Although there may be some validity his critcism needs to be taken from a certain perspective. There are lot’s of niche’s out there so don’t pigeonhole yourself.
Use the critcism to improve but not to change who you are. In life persistence is the key and I beleive you have that gift. Don’t foget to enjoy your wealth and the freedom it gives you.

PS If he gives you the opportunity to work with him then be willing to submit to his ways for the purpose of learning/growing.

I wonder if someone out there can represent me like Agent Dom Pagnotti minus the pushiness and the eagerness to break laws:
Agent Pagnotti speaks well and very persuasively. I could probably make more money for an employer with a lot of capital to allocate than most pro players could for the NBA. NBA players seem to last fifteen years at best, but I could probably do what I do for a lot longer than that.
My ideal job is taking over an underperforming fund not to actively manage INvestments, but to actively manage DIvestments. I would like to be gauged according to how well I can reduce the performance lag incurred by mistaken investments from the past while I reallocate fund capital equally into a fixed number of country-specific exchange-traded funds.
