“TUESDAY, DEC 12, 2023 – 03:25 PM 2023 was another year of underperformance for most hedge funds (who have barely been able to eek out mid-single digit gains according to Goldman)… but not for the “pod” master of them all, Citadel, which according to the WSJ, is planning to give its investors $7 billion in profits it earned in its flagship multi-strat Wellington fund, which returned an impressive 15% in the year through November, . . .”

If “15% in the year through November” is “impressive,” then what is the 18.06% Compound Annual Growth Rate that I have achieved over the past 17 years?

And why would clients of Citadel pay fees while they let me make peanuts driving a concrete truck?

So although I am more than “impressive” at growing wealth, I also want to be Gay, like Harvard President Claudine Gay who, despite plagiarizing and showing tolerance for genocide, annually makes somewhere between $879,079 and $1.3 million:

“Harvard says Claudine Gay will remain president, resisting donors’ and politicians’ calls for her ouster in the wake of antisemitism backlash”
“Hedge fund manager and alumnus Bill Ackman has spearheaded a campaign for Gay’s ouster, saying Gay has done more damage to Harvard’s reputation than anyone in its history. At issue was a line of questioning that asked whether calling for the genocide of Jews would violate the universities’ code of conduct. At the hearing, Gay said it depended on the context, . . .”

“U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-New York, a committee member who repeatedly asked the university presidents whether “calling for the genocide of Jews” would violate the schools’ rules, voiced her displeasure on X, the social media platform, about the decision supporting Gay.

“There have been absolutely no updates to (Harvard’s) code of conduct to condemn the calls for genocide of Jews and protect Jewish students on campus,” she said. “The only update to Harvard’s code of conduct is to allow plagiarists as president.”

“Harvard attempting to ‘redefine’ plagiarism to protect embattled President Claudine Gay, alleged victim says”
“Swain believes Gay is “getting a free pass” because she was a “product” of the diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.”

“Harvard University President Lawrence S. Bacow earned more than $1.3 million in the 2021 calendar year.”
“Harvard President-elect and Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dean Claudine Gay earned $879,079 in 2021, up from the $824,068 reported in 2020.”

Perhaps if I were Gay and a “product of the diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives,” then the Harvard Endowment would hire me to run it so the sub-trash losers the people who currently run it can drive my concrete truck.

Your treat for today is the screenshot above. I am in the middle of a trade, so am not revealing the Horg family holdings now. Like a big orangutan who likes little monkeys, I have to be careful around my subscribers when I handle my bananas:
